CAMP LUKBAN, CATBALOGAN, SAMAR – The 8^th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, under the leadership of Maj. Gen. Rodrigo F Maclang, in coordination with the Commission on Human Rights, joins the entire nation in observing National Human Rights Consciousness Week starting December  04 to 10, 2006  as proclaimed by the Universal Declaration on Human Rights (UDHR), pursuant to Republic Act 9201.

            The first day of weeklong celebration coincided with the flag raising held at Camp Lukban Catbalogan at exactly 8:00 o’clock  in the morning  of December 04, 2006.

            “PANATA SA KARAPATANG PANTAO” was religiously recited by organic officers, enlisted personnel and civilian employees alike as a gesture that everyone deserves Human Rights.            The primary objective of this activity is to remind individuals not to take for granted Human Rights.

            The Theme for this year’s celebration is “KARAPATANG PANTAO: SUSI NG KAPAYAPAAN, KATARUNGAN AT KAUNLARAN
